What brand of perfume or soap has the best, most natural lavender scent?
Also, is lavender a flower or an herb? Thanks!
Lavender is considered an herb. The best, most natural lavender scent is purely personal opinion. However, one of the best agreed upon lavender scents is Island Lavender by Caldey. It's a perfume that sells for around $20.

The shipping will be expensive if you do not live in the UK. But it is a natural, beautiful lavender scent and the monks who make the fragrance support themselves by selling it in that store so you will be helping them out directly. They also sell lavender soap there.
Yardley also makes a fantastic lavender scent called English Lavender. You can find out more about it here:

It is about the same price as the Caldey and you can purchase it from here, you will also probably not pay as much for shipping as the Caldey lavender:

If you would prefer, you can also purchase a high quality lavender Essential Oil and test around with different ones until you find one that you like best. There are many suppliers on the internet and it might take some time to find one you really like and in a decent enough quality.
