Are the Special K protein bars good for dieting?

They're 110 calories
with 3.5 grams of fat.. 2 grams of saturated fat.
I was thinking it would be a good meal replacement, like breakfast. [it really fills you up] The Special K granola bars are only 90 calories, but they don't really satisfy my hunger.

You would probably do better with more calories, actually, first thing in the morning--like about double that, at LEAST. That way, your hunger will be satisfied longer, you won't be thinking about food as early in the day, and you will be much less likely to overeat later in the day. I have read this and read this over the years, but I never really followed this advice until last year. Then I started feeding myself properly, beginning with breakfast, and I have now lost over 50 pounds. I have tried the Special K bars, and if I'm out someplace and need a snack they are really good, in lieu of say, a candy bar. They're also handy once in a while if, in the morning, you're in a major hurry and don't have time for your usual breakfast. But a proper breakfast will do you more good than a processed bar, so set your alarm clock for 15 or 20 minutes earlier so you can eat well, and save the Special K bars for an occasional treat, or for if you oversleep one day.
